Review - The Fat Cow
The Fat Cow is a good illustration of how in Second Life, all is not as it seems.
On my first visit to briefly scout around, it struck me as just another guesthouse / bed and breakfast type build with the usual adult paraphenlia (e.g. erotica on the walls).
On my second visit to do this review, I discovered that the Fat Cow is part of a pretty elaborate "dairy farm" RP (hence the name), where breeding and milking appears to be the order of the day.
This includes an ice cream shop where the back doors lead you to a dungeon, a county jail in which I was placed in for "trespassing", and a whole RP-farm.
Having said all that, you could just stay at the Fat Cow, and ignore the rest of the sim if you wanted to, especially as the anims are decent and the rooms are free.
The sim itself is quite well done, with a lakeside and rural setting. There's also a street scene with picnic area.

Overall look and feel
This is a hard one. The bed and breakfast on its own is actually pretty cute, but there's everything else that goes with it too - which you may or may not like.

The anims
The Fat Cow has two rooms upstairs, one with the standard RW bed which I have seen in most hotels, but the other with a Velvetna bed, which I prefer.

The facilities
Obviously this isn't a full hotel. It does have an unstaffed reception, breakfast room of the type you see in small RL guesthouses, two rooms upstairs, a hot tub downstairs and an outdoor coffee area.

Small and basic, each of the two rooms has an adult bed. One has a bath outside on a balcony

Other things to consider
Is the hotel adult? Most definitely
Privacy - I mean, anyone could walk in on you, but I saw no one there the two times I went to visit
Lag - Very little, I was able to run graphics on ultra
Prices - Free
Overall
If you are into a certain kind of RP. this is for you. Otherwise, this could be somewhere for you to go if you and a partner simply want a free room with a decent bed and low lag in a fairly nicely built sim.
